SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm defeated the Green Bay Blizzard after a triple overtime battle at the Denny Sanford Premier Center on June 16th. The Storm moved to 11-3 after a 69-61 win.

The Blizzard would strike first with a 11-yard touchdown pass from Bryan Hicks to Jereme Jones to take an early 7-0 lead. The Storm would quickly tie it up after a 40-yard touchdown pass from Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford. The Blizzard would go up 20-7 after scoring back to back touchdowns. The first touchdown was a six-yard rushing touchdown by B.J. Hill and then Bryan Hicks hit B.J. Hill for a eight-yard touchdown. The Storm would end the first quarter with a 18-yard touchdown pass from Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford, cutting the Blizzard's lead to 20-14.

The second quarter was a back and forth bout with the Blizzard getting on the board first with a 14-yard touchdown reception by Kezlow Smith from Bryan Hicks, giving the Blizzard a 27-14 lead. The Storm answered with a two-yard rushing touchdown by Lyle McCombs, to bring the score to 27-21. The Blizzard would extend their lead to 34-21 after a 31-yard pass by Bryan Hicks to Kezlow Smith. The Storm would end the half with a 34-24 deficit after a 33-yard field goal by Miles Bergner.

The third quarter began with a Blizzard 32-yard touchdown from Bryan Hicks to Kezlow Smith, extending their lead to 40-24. The Storm would score back to back touchdowns to the to end the quarter, trailing 40-38. The first touchdown was a nine-yard touchdown pass from Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford and then a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lyle McCombs.

The Storm would strike first in the fourth quarter after a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown, putting the Storm on top 44-40. The Blizzard responded with a 13-yard rushing touchdown by Trey Serge, bringing the score to 47-44. Storm kicker Miles Bergner would hit the 24-yard game-tying field goal to force overtime. The Blizzard would possess the ball first where they would score off a 19-yard touchdown pass by Bryan Hicks to Jereme Jones, bringing the score to 54-47. The Storm answered with a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lyle McCombs to tie the game and force a second overtime.

The Blizzard would once again possess the ball first where they would score off a 20-yard rushing touchdown by B.J. Hill, taking a 61-54 lead. The Storm answered with a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lyle McCombs to tie the game and force a third overtime.

The Storm would possess the ball first where they would score first and due to overtime rules, the teams have to attempt a two-point conversion. The touchdown came from a one-yard quarterback keeper by Lorenzo Brown and a successful two-point conversion after Lorenzo Brown found Damian Ford in the back of the end zone, giving the Storm a 69-61 lead. The Sioux Falls Storm would secure the victory after a interception by Trey Wafford.

Storm quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 26 out of his 35 attempts while throwing for 294 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Brown also had 62 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Running back Lyle McCombs tallied 29 yards along with four touchdowns, he also had 81 reception yards. Wide receiver Damian Ford garnered 120 reception yards and three touchdowns while Judd Harrold had 72 reception yards. Linebacker Dezmin Reed led the team in tackles with eight. Defensive back Trey Wafford reeled in three interceptions and had one pass break-up while Jabari Gorman grabbed one interception.

The Sioux Falls Storm return to action on Saturday, June 23 where they will face the Arizona Rattlers in the semi-final round of the 2018 IFL Playoffs. Kickoff is slated for 8:05 PM CT in Arizona.
