• Signed for the 2023 season after recently playing in the XFL during the 2020 season as a part of the DC Defenders.

CHICAGO BEARS

• Banfield spent time with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League and was signed by the organization as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Banfield saw the field in four preseason contests but was cut before the regular season began. During those appearances, he made 6 total tackles (2 solo, 4 ast), 1.0 sack and 2 quarterback hurries

BROWN UNIVERSITY

• (2015-2018) During his collegiate career, earned a starting role midway through his freshman season and was a staple on their defensive front for the remainder of his time with the university. He finished his career with Brown tallying 77 total tackles (43 solo, 34 ast), 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble. His dominant performance over his first three seasons with the team was awarded by being selected for the Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy prior to his senior season.
