Cory Johnsen will be entering his 17th season (10 as a player, 7 coaching) with the Sioux Falls Storm.

Johnsen boasts 10 years of indoor playing experience. The Aberdeen, SD native came to the Sioux Falls Storm in 2006 and served as the Nose Tackle for 10 seasons, winning 8 Championships, and was part of the Storm's 40-0 run from 2006-2008. Prior to playing for the Storm, he attended St. Cloud State University, a Division-2 member in the North Central Conference. Cory saw substantial playing time as a redshirt freshman, started three seasons for the team. He was Second Team All-NCC his Junior year, and Pre-Season 1st team All-NCC his senior year. 

During Cory's 10 year career with the Storm, he has numerous All-League honors. He is the Storm's All-Time Sack leader, and holds the team record for most total wins as a player.  Johnson is also tied for second in team history in career TFL's (Tackles For Loss), tied for team lead in Career Forced Fumbles, ranks fourth in Career Blocked Kicks, and holds a Career Win-Loss record of 151-16. Cory was a 2017 IFL Hall of Fame inductee and 2021 Sioux Falls Storm Hall of Fame inductee. 

Cory, his wife Nikki, and children Marley and Baker currently reside in Sioux Falls. Cory is the Director of Operations and Digital Marketing for Michels Communications Corporation.
