Sioux Falls Returns Home

SiouxFalls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (8-1) returns home after two weeks on the road to face the Spokane Empire (7-2) in a week twelve clash on Saturday, May 6th for a 7:05 pm kickoff.

Thanks to Arby's, KSFY-TV and KRRO Radio 103.7, the Storm will be able to provide fans with a "2-for-1 Ticket Offer" on all seats in the Cyclone and Updraft sections for the game. The fans can take advantage of the special ticket offer by picking up a Storm game $10 coupon at any of the four Arby's restaurant locations in Sioux Falls. The Storm will donate 50% of every purchase from the Arby's coupon to the Feeding South Dakota BackPack Program. In addition, all fans attending the game are asked to bring in as many boxes of Macaroni & Cheese as possible to help create a Noisemaker Night theme. Shake your boxes to cheer on the Storm. During the 4th quarter, fans will be able to donate their Macaroni & Cheese boxes to "Feeding South Dakota" and enter into a drawing for changes to win special prizes.

The Sioux Falls Storm traveled to face off against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks on Saturday, April 29th where the Storm lost 44-36. In that contest, quarterback Lorenzo Brown threw 12 of 22 for 98 yards for two touchdowns and two interceptions, he also rushed seven times for 55 yards. Wide receiver Korey Williams had four rushes for 51 yards. Drew Powell tallied three grabs for 45 yards and one touchdown, while Rashard Smith caught four passes for 37 yards. Tyler Knight and Carlton Watkins each had nine total tackles for the Storm.

The Spokane Empire edged the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles by a score of 31-29. In that game, quarterback Charles Dowdell finished his night 19-39 for 153 yards and two passing touchdowns, both to Bryan Pray. His ground game accumulated 56 yards and a third touchdown. Pray would rack 63 yards receiving on his night. Defensively, Nick Haag would have 5.5 tackles and a sack on the night. The leading tackler was John Hardy-Tuliau with 6.5 tackles, 1.5 of those for a loss.
