• Marquis played collegiately at Bethune–Cookman University where he amassed 153 tackles, six tackles for loss, six sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass break-ups
• He was a two-time MEAC All-Conference Second Team Defensive honoree

Freshman (2016):

• Marquis played outside linebacker for Coffeyville Community College

High School (Trinity Catholic):

• Marquis rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com coming out of high school
• He was listed as a two-star prospect by Rivals and as a three-star by 247sports
• He was rated as the No. 21 middle linebacker in the South and No. 10 in Florida per scout.com
• Marquis was a three-time First Team All-County honoree
• Hendrick also garnered Second Team All-State honors as a senior
• He recorded 129 tackles and three quarterback sacks during his senior year
