For Rich Roste, 2020 marks his 15th football season of radio play-by-play sportscasting.

Since 2000 Rich has been the voice of indoor football in Sioux Falls, first with the Cobras and now the Storm. He has called high school football and basketball along with stints of broadcasting women’s basketball at the Universities of Sioux Falls and South Dakota. During dramatic and exiting plays, Rich is known for his signature phrase, “Holy, Help Me, Hannah” which he coined in the early years of his hobby vocation.

In 2005 Rich was named Radio Broadcaster of the Year in the United Indoor Football League and in 2014 was elected into the inaugural Hall of Fame class of the Indoor Football League. The coaches and trainers gave Rich the nickname, Silver Fox because of his white hair and many still refer to him in that way.

A native of Sacred Heart, MN, Rich was a JUCO All-American defensive lineman and then a successful walk-on as an offensive guard for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. Rich graduated from the U of M, earning a Degree in Mortuary Science and later owned and operated Roste Funeral Homes in northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota, retiring in 2005.

Rich and his wife, Sue live at Harrisburg and to complete the family there are four daughters and nine grandchildren.
