GAME NOTES

SCOUTING THE TULSA OILERS: The Oilers are hungry for redemption after a challenging 2023 season. With former Storm QB Daniel Smith leading the charge, expect a fierce offensive display. Keep an eye on standout wide receiver Joshua Crockett and linebacker Jordan Jones, who are poised to make an impact. 

The Tulsa Oilers finished the 2023 Indoor Football League Season with a 2-13 record, including a 2-9 record against Eastern Conference opponents. The Oilers  were an expansion team in the IFL during the 2023 season.

The Oilers Offense ranked 13th in the IFL in points per game (40.5) last season and 14th in the league in touchdowns (79).

The Oilers Defense ranked 9th in the IFL last season in points allowed (48.6).

Former Sioux Falls Storm QB Daniel Smith is running the offensive show for the Oilers this season and currently ranks 13th in the IFL in rushing yards (82) and 14th in the IFL in rushing TD (3). Smith is 31-for-47 in the passing attack so far this season, throwing for 233 yards and two scores.

Wide receiver Joshua Crockett returns for his 2nd season in 2024 and is off to a good start. In two games, Crocket is averaging 11.3 yards per catch while hauling in 8 catches for 93 yards and a score. Last season Crockett recorded 47 catches for 502 yards and 18 touchdowns, ranking 8th in the IFL overall.

Linebacker Jordan Jones also returns for his 2nd season with the organization.Jones has 10 tackles so far this season, includig 7 solo tackles. Last season Jones led the IFL with 113 tackles (85 solo).

SCOUTING THE SIOUX FALLS STORM: Fresh off an Eastern Conference Championship, the Storm are primed for another dominant season. Led by new QB Billy Hall and bolstered by the addition of ALL-IFL receiver Kentrez Bell, the offense is firing on all cylinders. Running back Xavier Jackson and receiver Carlos Thompson add depth and versatility to an already formidable lineup.

The Sioux Falls Storm finished the 2023 Indoor Football League season with a 11-7 record and an Eastern Conference Championship title..

The Storm offense ranked 4th in the IFL last season in touchdowns (121) and 7th in points per game (46.4).
 
QB Lorenzo Brown Jr. was the top offensive threat, finishing 3rd in the IFL in rushing touchdowns (33) and tied for 4th in passing touchdowns (48).

Former Las Vegas Knight Hawks backup Billy Hall has taken over as the organization's starting QB this season and is off to a solid start. Hall currently ranks 11th in the IFL in rushing with 93 yards on the ground. His 4 rushing touchdowns is tied for 5th in the IFL this season.

Hall is 18-for-30 in the pass attack, throwing for 254 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Running back Xavier Jackson returns for his 2nd season in a Storm uniform after scoring 14 rushing TDs and 6 receiving TD's during his rookie season.

The Storm reloaded at the Wide Receiver position with the addition of ALL-IFL receiver Kentrez Bell, who finished the year leading the IFL with 1,092 receiving yards. Carlos Thompson also returns to the Storm offense after one season in San Diego with the Strike Force.
