The Sioux Falls Storm Indoor Football Team will play their third straight road game on Friday night when they visit the Iowa Barnstormers at 7:05 PM CT inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA.
Friday night's game will be the second meeting of the 2023 season these two Indoor Football League opponents. The first matchup took place on April 9th inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The Storm won that game by the final score of 54-24, extending their winning streak against the Barnstormers to three consecutive wins.
The Storm scored six rushing touchdowns in the win, including a pair of TD's for QB
Lorenzo Brown Jr. and RB
Bryson Denley. The Storm added two more rushing TD's from WR's
Dwight Blakey and Tony Tate.
The Storm defense recorded three interceptions, including a pick-six for LB
James Brown.
Eugene Ford and Antwon Hadley also had an INT in the win.

SUGAR SKULLS HAD STORM 2ND CONSECUTIVE LOSS IN TUCSON
TUCSON, AZ – The Sioux Falls Storm Indoor Football Team lost their second consecutive game on Saturday night, falling to the Tucson Sugar Skulls by the final score of 56-42.
The Storm led 14-7 midway through the 2nd quarter before the Tucson offense woke up. Sugar Skulls return man Emetrious Scott ran back a 49-yard touchdown to tie the game.
Tucson quarterback Ramone Atkins finished the night going 12-of-17 for 126 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also added 16 carries for 64 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Storm quarterback
Lorenzo Brown Jr. had an off night, going 7-for-14 with 89 passing yards and two touchdowns. Brown also ran the ball nine times for 22 yards and a rushing score.
Running Back
Xavier Jackson ran the ball 12 times for 29 yards and a touchdown. Jackson now has five touchdowns in since joining the Storm four games ago.
Wide receiver
Draysean Hudson had another solid night for the Storm. Hudson finished the game with three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. He also led the Storm with 38 rushing yards and a rushing score.
Donnie Corley Jr. led the Storm with 55 receiving yards and touchdown. Corley has now scored a TD in six straight games.

Byron Edwards and Laronji Vason-McCoy each had nine tackles in the loss.
SCOUTING THE IOWA BARNSTORMERS
The Iowa Barnstormers enter the weekend with a 1-7 record in the Indoor Football League season.
The Barnstormers defense has struggled this season, allowing a league high 52.9 points per game. Iowa has allowed 60 touchdowns over eight games which is also a league high.
The Iowa offense has suffered more than its fare share of losses during the 2023 season. Starting QB Darius James-Peterson and starting RB Antonio Wimbush both suffered early-season injuries that put them on season-ending IR.
Wide Receivers Caleb Smith and LaQuivonte Gonzalez are the top offensive weapons for the Barnstormers. Smith leads the team with 10 receiving touchdowns while Gonzalez leads the team with 322 receiving yards.
Defensively, the Barnstormers are led by Ian McBurrough, who has a team-best 33 tackles this season. Freddie McGee and Tyrell Pearson are tied for the team lead with two interceptions.
SCOUTING THE SIOUX FALLS
The Sioux Falls Storm enter the weekend with a 4-4 record in the 2023 Indoor Football League season and currently sit in 4th place in the Eastern Conference Standings.
The Sioux Falls defense ranks 5th in the IFL in fewest points allowed per game (42.3). The Storm's 10 team interceptions is tied for 3rd in the IFL. Only Duke City (11) and Frisco (13) have more INT this season.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Sioux Falls Storm will enjoy a much needed bye-week next week (June 3rd) before returning to action at home on June 10th against the Frisco Fighters at 7:05 PM inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Sioux Falls will have three home games and three road games remaining after the bye week.
The remaining home schedule gets significantly more difficult the rest ofthe way, with home games scheduled against Frisco (7-1), Green Bay (4-4), and Massachusetts (5-3). The three remaining road games will include Tulsa (1-7), Frisco (7-1),
and Iowa (1-7).
The Storm hit the bye-week next week before returning to action on Saturday, June 10
