SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Storm (4-5) take on the Quad City Steamwheelers (6-4) in Moline, IL on Saturday, May 28. Kickoff is set for 7:05 PM.
This is the third matchup between the two teams, splitting one game apiece, the Storm won the first matchup 35-24 at home and lost the second 24-34 away. The Storm look to get back in the win column after a loss last week to the Massachusetts Pirates 42-43. In that game, running back Nate Chavious ran 15 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. Wide receivers Aaron Dilworth and Donnie Corley had the only two receptions of the game and wide receiver Carlos Thompson Jr. had nine tackles, six solo and three assisted. Linebacker Undraez Lilly had three tackles for loss of 19 yards.
The Steamwheelers come into week 12 fresh off a 47-44 victory over the Bismarck Bucks. Quad City's quarterback E.J. Hillard had 167 passing yards, 76 rushing yards, and had three passing and three rushing touchdowns. Wide receivers Trevon Saunders had three receiving catches for 52 yards and one touchdown and Keyvan Rudd had two receiving catches, 50 yards, and one touchdown. Defensive back Darreon Jackson led the way for the Steamwheelers with 12 tackles, followed by linebacker Nathan Sheets with 10 tackles.
