Jose Jefferson

Jose Jefferson will be entering his first season on the Storm coaching staff.

Jefferson has spent over 25 years in the coaching professional and mentoring young men. He has coaching experience on all three levels; high school, college, and professional. Jose spent 10 years on the high school level, three as a head coach (15-10 record). He has also coached 10 years on the college level (Division III) as an assistant with his highest post being an Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Jefferson has also spent over 25 years of involvement as a player, coach, and management on the indoor level. (AFL, IFL, AF2, NIFL, UIF, and new IFL).

Jefferson played five years in the AFL, two with the Arizona Rattlers (1993-1994) and three with the Iowa Barnstormers (1995-1997). Jose has spent 10 years as an indoor coach, eight as a head coach (87-54 record). He also coached Fred Jackson in Sioux City and sent him to the Buffalo Bills.

Jefferson has also done two NFL internships. One with the Packers and one with the Vikings. He is the Executive Director/Founder of the College Gridiron Showcase (CGS). CGS is the largest post-season college football all-star event in the country; boosting over 250 college seniors seeking opportunities in the NFL. It hosts all 32 teams with over 150 executives and scouts in attendance.

A 1993 USD graduate, Jefferson was an Indoor/Outdoor All-American in Track and Field also a conference and school record holder in the Triple Jump and tying the school record in the 55 meters. Jefferson and his wife, Kari have twin boys - Jeremiah and Jonas.
