Sioux Falls Storm Cedar Rapids Titans May 20Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm faced the Cedar Rapids Titans in a week 14 battle of the 2017 Indoor Football season on Saturday, May 20th. The Storm emerged victorious after a 54-20 contest.

The first quarter was controlled by the Storm after scoring three consecutive touchdowns. The first score of the game started with a kick-off return for six from Storm newcomer, Latavious Willis. The next two scores came on the ground after Rolandan Finch rushed for a two-yard touchdown and then a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown, giving the Storm a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Cedar Rapids would be the first to score in the second quarter after quarterback Brion Carnes took in the QB keeper from six-yards out, bringing the score to 20-6. The Storm would close out the half with a 26-6 lead after Rolandan Finch rushed in a two-yard touchdown.

The third quarter started with a four-yard pass from Brion Carnes to Damond Powell to cut the Storm's lead to 26-12. The Sioux Falls Storm would score back-to-back touchdowns after a one-yard dushing touchdown from Rolandan Finch and then nine-yard pass to Eric Shufford from Lorenzo Brown to extend the Storm's lead to 40-12 at the end of the third quarter.

Rolandan Finch May 20 Sioux Falls StormThe fourth quarter began with a six-yard pass from Lorenzo Brown to Eric Shufford, putting the Storm on top 47-12. Cedar Rapids would answer back with a two-yard rushing touchdown by Brion Carnes and a successful two-point conversion to cut the Storm's lead to 47-20. Sioux Falls would end the game with a final score of 54-20 after Lorenzo Brown connected with Rolandan Finch for 13-yard touchdown.

Quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed five of six passes for 89 yards with three touchdowns, he also rushed five times for 56 yards and one score. Running back Rolandan Finch had 13 rushes for 56 yards and three touchdowns, he also had one reception for 13 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Knight lead the defense with 12 total tackles. Matt Hermanson and Rashard Smith both grabbed an interception for the Storm. Claude Davis, Khalif Mitchell and Nicholas Richardson each had a sack.

The Sioux Falls Storm moves to 11-1 on the season while the Cedar Rapids Titans fall to 1-12. The Storm returns to action on Saturday, May 27th when they host the Wichita Falls Nighthawks for a 7:05pm kickoff.
