Jim Loria

Director of Corporate Sales
Jim joined the Storm's front office on May 1, 2014 and is in charge of the team's corporate partnerships and relationship development with the Sioux Falls business community. A 37-year veteran in the business of sports team management of which 15 seasons were spent here in Sioux Falls where Jim served as the business operations leader of the Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club from its inception back in 1998 until 2012. Loria was also part of the Sioux Falls Canaries' front office from 2010-2012 when the franchise was then known as the "Pheasants".

During his tenure with the Stampede, the club was twice honored as the United States Hockey League Organization-of-the-Year (2002 & 2006) and became the first-ever sport franchise nominated by the South Dakota State Chamber of Commerce for the prestigious "APEX Business Excellence Award" (2002).

Under Jim's leadership with the Stampede, the team was chosen "Best in Business for Community Outreach" three straight years by the Argus Leader (2002-2004) and twice recognized by the National USA Home Builders Association for the "Best Community Promotion" (Playhouse Promenade, 2005 and Mall Golf, 2009).

Jim was the recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award given annually by the Sioux Falls SME Executives Club. He was also previously chosen as the top Marketing/Executive-of-the-Year in the Western Canada Junior Hockey League and International Hockey League.

Jim is married. He and his wife, Wendy, are the proud parents of three daughters: Jaimee (Wausau, Wisconsin), Cali (Sioux Falls) and Nikki (St. Paul, Minnesota) and two lovely grandchildren (Kingsley and Mae Camille).
