A letter from the Sioux Falls School District
Greetings Storm Fans:
On behalf of the Sioux Falls School District, we would like to introduce you to a first-ever fundraising effort being coordinated by the Sioux Falls Storm Football Team. On March 25, 2017, the Storm organization will host a "Night of Hope and Caring." This fundraising event will help the Sioux Falls School District "Level the Playing Field for Elementary Schools that have fundraising needs." While some of our schools have very successful PTAs/PTOs with large fundraising capabilities, other schools have no PTA/PTO at all due to working parents with limited transportation and no financial means to support the little "extras" for their child's school.
As part of the Community Engagement section of the District's Strategic Plan, we are hoping that this Storm fundraiser can help support our schools with "extras" like field trips, playground equipment, school supplies, artists-in-residence, etc. Since the District does not employ a "development staff" to secure donations, we are grateful for the Storm's willingness to host a fundraiser for these needs.
As a friend of the Sioux Falls School District, I am inviting you to join this effort in any way your company or family sees fit. There are many opportunities from ticket purchases to pledge a donation for all Storm Touchdowns, provide silent auction items, sponsor a silent auction gift that bears an expense, sponsor a field banner for the Thunder Ball Toss promotion, sponsor Quarterback Sacks or even pledge a donation to receive a Game Announcement for your Company, etc. Any, and all, contributions from our business community is welcome.
Please contact Jim Loria with the Storm to discuss the opportunities or to have Jim meet with you in person. Jim can be reached through email at email@example.com or by cell phone at 605.610.5902.
We sincerely appreciate the working relationship we have established with many of you and encourage you to support this very special and unique fundraiser on March 25, 2017, "A Night of Hope and Caring."
Thank you! Missy Braak, Purchasing Supervisor Sioux Falls School District
